What is Co-Active Coaching?

I follow the Co-Active Coaching approach. What is it about?

Co-Active means that my coaching ensures a great balance between BEING (the “Co”) and DOING (the “Active”), leaving the space for the person to BE and define: Who am I? What is my Purpose in Life? What are my values? What are my dreams? What are my Inner Resources? And also ensuring ACTION: moving forward and getting support to operate a transformation is critical too.

“The vision must be followed by the venture. It is not enough to stare up the steps; we must step up the stairs. -Vance Havner”

The Co-Active approach also embraces the following key principles:

Everyone is naturally Creative, Resourceful and Whole. It means that every human is able to tap into inner resources to overcome challenges, make decisions, explore inner-self or deepen learnings. As a coach, I am here to guide and witness, to encourage and give perspectives, but the path is yours.

Dance in the moment. Nothing is pre-established, there is no pre-defined guidelines on how the coaching should be, where it should go or how it should finish, as everyone is unique. What works for one person does not work for another. An open mind, curiosity, full presence and intuition are key elements of my coaching style.

Focus on the Whole Person. I am interested about what you will tell me, but also about your emotions, your breathing, your soul, your silence, your body. We are not only our thoughts and considering the Whole Person is critical to me as our words do not say it all.

Evoke Transformation. Transformation is not necessarily (and often not) radical and does not happen over night. However, I will always make sure that our time together leads to specific queries, reflections or actions. At times these can look insignificant, and address the little things from everyday life. These often lead to life long new habits or perspectives, and can change one’s destiny.

“Move out of your comfort zone. You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something”.
